Dennerle offers a series of ultra-modern CO2 addition units under the name “CO2 Diffusor Ultra”. The diffusers are made of transparent, break-proof acrylic. This makes them considerably safer to handle than conventional glass diffusers and also ideal for children’s aquariums, for example. Due to their ultra-compact shape, they can be installed “invisibly” in the aquarium using the suction holder provided. Thanks to their attractive appearance, however, they are not disturbing in the visible area either. The newly developed membranes are manufactured from a special sintered material with extremely small pores. The resulting nano-atomization of the supplied CO2 ensures a highly effective and safe dissolution of this important plant nutrient in the aquarium. With the help of the integrated bubble counter, the amount of CO2 added can be easily checked at any time. The CO2 Diffusers Ultra can be combined with all common CO2 systems, e.g. the Dennerle disposable and reusable systems Carbo START, Carbo POWER and Carbo NIGHT. Due to the much lower operating pressure of approx. 0.3-0.5 bar compared to classic glass diffusers, the CO2 Diffusers Ultra are also ideally suited for bio CO2 systems. The hose connection fits all commercially available CO2 hoses with 4/6 mm, e.g. the Dennerle special CO2 hose. The CO2 Diffuser Ultra S is suitable for aquariums up to 100 L and therefore very popular especially for nano aquariums. The model M supplies aquariums up to 200 L, the model L aquariums up to 400 L.

Dennerle is a huge company and one of the earliest pioneers of the true planted aquascape.
Ludwig Dennerle, the founder, can trace his aquatic history back to the mid-1960s when he established his first pet store. It wasn’t long before various aquatic plants were travelling home with him, destined for some amateur botany in Ludwig’s greenhouse.
Within a decade his company was constructing greenhouses dedicated to aquarium flora and importing hitherto unseen plants from the tropics.
Dennerle created a huge chunk of what we now accept as the aquatics trade and without such early influence it’s likely the aquarium plant market would be very different to the one we have now.
SUSTAINABILITY AS A COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
Dennerle offers products for the aquarist that can do more than merely fight symptoms. We likewise ensure that even at the production stage, natural resources are used sparingly. But it should also be possible to use the products themselves in an environmentally sustainable way – for example by having an above-average lifespan (e.g. Trocal) or by using concentrates to reduce packaging waste (e.g. water care). We design functioning, coordinated products which are oriented towards maintaining the natural cycle and are harmless to the environment, people and animals. The „aquarium“ ecosystem – complex but not complicated. Every aquarium is a biological system, the individual factors of which are inextricably linked. According to the Dennerle philosophy, the foundation of an aquarium is healthy plant growth, because the plants constantly remove harmful substances from the water and simultaneously produce the oxygen that the fish need to survive. Since 1966, Dennerle has taken a holistic view of the aquarium ecosystem in order to easily replicate the biological cycles as a functioning system equivalent to natural processes.
